Established in 1908, the University of Pretoria (commonly known as UP) is an internationally renowned research-intensive university and the largest university in South Africa. UP is known for its strong research collaborations and for putting graduates first, with renowned courses in business, law, engineering, health sciences, humanities and social sciences. While other universities in the region have expanded their courses into the sciences and arts fields, UP has remained true to its roots and continues to provide expert education in its original six faculties.
