Founded in 1922, the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LUHS) boasts an impressive history as one of the oldest medical universities in the region. Well-known for its excellent training and research programs, as well as for its patient-centric experiences, LUHS stands out from other institutions in the region due to its extensive multi-disciplinary studies. It is the only university in Lithuania dedicated to the education and training of healthcare professionals.

Location

Kaunas is the second-largest city in Lithuania, with a population of almost 300,000. Located in central Lithuania on the junction of the Nemunas and Neris rivers, Kaunas is well connected to other European cities by its own international airport and modern rail and road networks. The city is home to many wonderful attractions, chief among them being the Old Town district, a UNESCO World Heritage site and unique testament to Kaunas’ rich history.
